A new brand for a new finance house
Designing a traditional typographic logotype with a modern twist
Star Capital was formed as a new financial firm in Bahrain with a mandate to invest in significant real estate and wealth generation assets. A low-key corporate entity rather than a retail bank, Star Capital did not need a symbol and so we designed a simple typographic brand-mark. It's letter-forms employ a manipulated font with Arabic placed underneath the English word-mark in a transposition of convention.
The result is a formal, yet contemporary brand that is supported by holistic identity systems including a distinctive ‘S’ watermark that is used across images and backgrounds. This watermark is also applied as a repeating pattern device across various collateral.
